Summertime and the Livin' is Easy....

 dogA.jpg

It's finally summer in south east Wisconsin and that means the return of our "state bird" the mosquito!!!  If you haven't had your dog tested for heart worm yet it's not too late.  Just a simple blood test is all that's needed to make sure your pet doesn't have this life threatening disease.  Then, once your pet has been tested it's just one pill, once a month to keep them safe.

As you pack your cooler for your picnic and camping trips make sure you have everything you need to keep your pet safe.  A properly fitted collar with a current ID tag, microchip, proper food and meds are a must have to take Fido to the beach.  If fireworks are planned, either at your campsite or at your local park it may be best to leave your pet at home.  Loud noises in unfamiliar locations can cause anxiety and your best friend could end up lost.

While hamburgers and hot dogs are a must have for any summer picnic, they need to be kept out of reach of your pet.  Foods that are too rich and greasy can cause serious GI upset which can become quite serious if not treated properly.  If you have any other questions about how to make this summer a spectacular one for you and your pet feel free to call us at 262-253-2255 and our staff will be happy to answer any of your questions.
